What is ECDL?

The European Computer Driving Licence® (ECDL) is the internationally recognised qualification which enables people to demonstrate their computer skills.  The ECDL Course is designed to give people the fundamental knowledge which is needed when working with IT on a daily basis.

Why should my staff have their ECDL?

With the knowledge which will be gained on this course, you can dramatically reduce the time spent by employees struggling to perform tasks on the computer and therefore increase their productivity.  They will thoroughly learn how to use the programs which so often cause unnecessary problems, such as Word Processors, File Management, Spreadsheets, Databases, Presentations, the Internet and e-mails.

What will you learn?

This online training course will guide you through the material, teaching you everything needed in order to achieve your ECDL Qualification.

The course covers the key aspects of computing used commonly in the workplace.  The course comprises of seven modules, they are:

• Using the computer and managing files (5 Hours)
• Word processing (7 Hours)
• Spreadsheets (9 Hours)
• Database (5 Hours)
• Presentation (7 Hours)
• Information and communication (6 Hours)

Please note: This course is preparation for the ECDL exam, and in order to gain the qualification you will need to sit an exam at an accredited test centre. Test centres will charge their own fees for sitting the exam and these will vary from centre to centre. To find the test centre nearest to you please visit the ECDL website.
